Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking with The Yunam Adventure. By booking with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

"The Company" refers to The Yunam Adventure. "Guest" refers to any person making a booking or staying at our camp. "Camp" refers to The Yunam Adventure Swiss Cottage Camping facility at Sarchu.

2. Bookings & Confirmation

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment.
  • A booking confirmation will be sent via email/WhatsApp within 2 hours of payment receipt.
  • The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings at its discretion.
  • Walk-in guests are accepted subject to availability. No advance payment required for walk-ins.

3. Tariffs & Payments

  • All tariffs are per tent per night in Indian Rupees (INR). GST applicable as per government rates.
  • Tariffs are subject to change without notice. Confirmed bookings are honoured at the rate quoted at time of booking.
  • Payment accepted via NEFT/IMPS bank transfer and UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm). Cash accepted at the camp.
  • Extra bed charges apply as per current tariff.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • 7 or more days before check-in: Full refund minus payment processing charges (2%).
  • 3–6 days before check-in: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
  • Less than 72 hours before check-in: No refund. Date rescheduling within the same season may be possible at management's discretion.
  • No-show: Full booking amount forfeited.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment source.

5. Check-in / Check-out

  • Standard check-in: 12:00 PM (noon). Early check-in subject to availability (no extra charge if tent is free).
  • Standard check-out: 10:00 AM. Late check-out may be available on request at ₹500/hour.
  • Photo ID is required at check-in for all adult guests. Foreign nationals must present passport.

6. Camp Rules & Guest Conduct

  • Guests are expected to maintain decorum and respect for other guests, staff, and the natural environment.
  • Loud music, disruptive behaviour, or harassment of any kind will result in immediate eviction without refund.
  • Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Smoking inside tents is strictly prohibited (fire risk at altitude).
  • Alcohol consumption is permitted in moderation. The Company accepts no liability for incidents arising from alcohol consumption. Note: alcohol worsens altitude sickness.
  • Pets are not permitted at the camp.
  • Guests are responsible for the security of their own valuables. The Company accepts no liability for lost or stolen items.
  • Any damage to camp property will be charged to the responsible guest.

7. Altitude & Health Disclaimer

Sarchu is located at 4,253 metres (13,953 feet) above sea level. By booking with The Yunam Adventure, you acknowledge that:

  • High altitude travel carries inherent risks including Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE), and High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE).
  • You are responsible for consulting a qualified medical professional before travelling to high altitude, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions.
  • The Company provides oxygen cylinders and basic first aid as a courtesy and safety measure. This does not constitute medical advice or a guarantee against altitude illness.
  • The Company accepts no liability for health complications arising from altitude exposure.
  • In the event of a medical emergency, all costs of evacuation and treatment are the guest's responsibility.

8. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, road closures due to landslides or snowfall, BRO highway restrictions, army/government orders, floods, extreme weather, or any other act of God. In such cases, the Company will endeavour to offer a date change or credit but is not obligated to provide a refund.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Yunam Adventure's total liability to any guest for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of our services shall not exceed the amount paid by that guest for the booking in question.

10. Photography & Media

The Company may photograph the camp and guests (in group/outdoor settings) for promotional purposes. Guests who do not wish to be photographed should inform camp staff at check-in. By making a booking, you grant us permission to use publicly shared social media content that tags our camp, for our promotional materials.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh, India.
